Red Fern Riding Center is a tourism trail ride operation located in Simpsonville, KY.

SHIFTS
Morning 6:30 am - 12:30 pm
Afternoon 12:30 pm -6:30 pm
HOURS OF OPERATION
Wednesday - Sunday 
This is a seasonal, contractor, position (April 1st - Nov 15th)​​

RIDING REQUIREMENTS
Experienced rider (English or Western) with current riding experience and references
Able to walk, trot and canter with a balanced seat
Can demonstrate ground-mounting, ground work in a large herd and ponying
Can explain and identify health issues, proper grooming and basic tack fitting​

CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
Public speaking, and ability to demonstrate, safety requirements in front of large groups
Can continuously engage with the public, acting as an entertainer and life guard
Management experience (Shift Leader only)

Administrative skills and ability to learn new technology and systems (Shift Leader only)

GUIDES $15.00 per hour, bonuses and generous tips (flexible schedule)
SHIFT LEADER $18.00 per hour, bonuses and generous tips (weekends required)

HIRING FEED STAFF NOW!

Part-Time​

SHIFTS
Morning 7:00 am - 10:00 am
Afternoon 4:00 pm -7:00 pm
Operation Hours
Monday - Sunday (Morning and Sunday availability preferred)

JOB DUTIES

Feed and turnout, approximately 38 horses
Turn out horses from the barn (winter) bring horses in (summer)
Check and fill water tanks
Refill individual grain tubs for the next shift
Rake aisles
Occasional stall cleaning
General health knowledge, ability to identify colic and lameness

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 1 year of horse handling experience
Ability to learn and grow your horsemanship skills
Have a keen eye for safety and horse health
Think critically, communicate effectively and work independently
Neat, clean, organized and can follow instructions

Must have a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation and live in 
reasonable proximity to Simpsonville, 40067.
